Welcome to Wildly Inappropriate

Welcome to WI Capsuleer! So you are maybe wondering to yourself, "How can I be a great pilot in WI?"
Well with this guide hopefully you can learn a few things about how to always be organized and ready to go when you have just joined the alliance or are back from an AFK!

1. Register for the WI Information Management System

This is one of the most important things you can do to assist in getting your bearings once in the alliance. This one step will register you for the forums, teamspeak, and also the WIIMS client itself. Just simply enter the Limited API information as it asked, and on the confirmation screen you will be given your username / password that will apply to everything on the WI Information Network. Running the WIIMS client is a required part of your membership in WI. This is doing using the IGB and the link is available in the alliance bulletin.

2. Read the forums!

The forums will contain most of the information that you will need especially when it comes to sub-cap fleet and also capital fleet fittings. Other information includes logistics information, and multiple other areas of interest. Also a place for general bullshittery amongst your alliance m8's.

3. BE IN TEAMSPEAK

It is very easy to get to know your fellow alliance member by speaking to them on TS! When not in MM TS for pvp ops all pilots are required to use WI TS when undocked and active. We are always chilling in there and there is much lolz to be had.

4. Jabber Crew!

Jabber is a nice tool for further communication out of game and also for fleet broadcast when an emergency capital or fleet situation might arise that WIIMS can not handle. Information on how to register for RAZOR Allied Services can be found in alliance bulletin and also the forums.

For those using Pidgin :
Menu : Manage Accounts -> Add

Protocol : XMPP
Username :
Domain : jabber.razor-eve.org
Resource : jabber.razor-eve.org
Password :

Set 'Remember password' on so you don't have to hammer it in every time you connect.

When you join the jabber server, do the following:
Menu : Tools -> Room List

Click 'Get List' to get the list of current rooms
(the conference-request should read conference.jabber.razor-eve.org by default, so just click OK on that)

Select the wi general room, rightclick and select 'Add'
Change the alias for the room if needed, and set the channel 'Autojoined when account becomes online'.
An advice is to also have 'Remain in chat after window is closed' enabled.

That's all there is to it.

Hopefully this will ease your entry into Wildly Inappropriate. If you have any further questions please contact your corp leadership who if needed, can then contact members of senior command.
